    What type of grease is used on floating caliper mounting pins?

    A silicone grease is used on floating caliper mounting pins.

    1.Always inspect brake pads and rotors when replacing your calipers.Faulty calipers can lead to uneven pad and rotor wear.
    2.Inspect or change brake hoses when replacing the caliper. Worn or damaged hoses should be replaced to prevent brake fluid contamination or loss.
    3.Use a Brake Fluid Tester to test your brake fluid. If your brake fluid has moisture in it, flush the system before installing the new caliper.
    4.Apply Blue Threadlocker to caliper bracket mounting bolts to lock the bolts in place and prevent loosening or backing out.
    5.After installing the new caliper, bleed your brakes to ensure no air is trapped in the brake fluid.
    6.After the brakes have been bled, top of the master cylinder reservoir with the proper Brake Fluid.
